I have a 14240 Amp that belongs under the seat that has a male end. If you want to buy it. but I dont think thats your problem, I think its just a connector problem.
My goal was to put the OEM system in but when I was trying to get things together, it became "UBER" hard because part #'s were not matching up, things change a few times between the years etc. But your already there because you have the stock Premium system already you just need the Amp.

The dealer was talking about the MKIII Supra's that were sold outside the U.S. The MKIV amp is completely different.

Thanks for the responses. I yanked out the harness just to make sure no one has altered it, and it was mounted as if it had never been touched...I wonder if there's some kind of end-peice that I'm missing on it that converts it from male to female where it plugs into the amp. Anyone want to look at theres and see? lol

The guy I bought the amp from has a harness he will sell me that supposedly will fit, but I haven't asked how much...what do y'all think I should pay?

Watch, I'll finally get it running and it will be security locked, or won't work, lol

You still might be right about the harness to the CD changer though. I might have that harness, I will check when I get home later. From the way the wires ran when I took them out, the changer was mounted in the rear. I even have the controll for it that ran up next to the driver seat. I just don't have the changer.

I've been off for 3 weeks, so you can imagine how my desk looked when I got in this morning ahhh!:aigo:

The Ishii post says it all. I was able to hook a 2000 Tundra head unit to the original 90 under seat amp by making a conversion cable.

Just buy dead radios on Ebay with the connectors you need and then solder together the frankenstein cable to interface between the two. Ishii's post gives you the pinouts for the various 14/15/20 pin cables. The only difference between any of them up to 2003 is the number of ground pins.

That said, the CD transports in the 20 year old players are pretty much unrepairable. I spent way too much time trying to get my 16801 to work, and then finally gave up and put in a much newer head unit from a 2000 Tundra. It looks totally stock, and has better ergonomics. The green display and button lights match perfectly with the Supra factory dash lighting.

The factory amps are repairable. The output transistors and electrolytic caps can be bought at mouser.com.

i might try wiring my factory amp to my aftermarket deck with those diagram's.a little extra power into my front and rear component's wouldn't hurt
