Hey everyone this is going to be a ongoing thread about the build of my supra n\a it is currently completely stock with 160000 miles and is running strong. Nothing is wrong with it, everything works. My goal for this car is to get about 400 horses when i am completely finished we will see how it goes:naughty:

Theres your pictures finally, sorry for the crappy quality taken with my phone need to use my camera! and to answere the questain about the swap is im not sure yet! thats why i need some good advice if i did do a swap it would be a 2jz but i dont know how expensive that is and if its worth changing all the wireing harnesses and mounts. if i dont do the swap i cant decide wether i would stay with n/a or go turbo. supra is completely stock and i dont want to start bolting on parts until i know exactly what im going to do

Think of it this way. It would cost about the same to buy and bolt in a 2JZ as it would to purchase and install a whole ton of performance parts for a 7M. Especially if you are converting to turbo. 400hp is not achievable (for cheap) on a non turbo 7M. I'm just saying that a 2JZ would be a smart choice given your starting point a hp goals.

Turbo the the 7m is a very cappable motor if you do it right think of it this way to make 400hp out of an n/a 7m you are going to have to pull the motor and build it even after this 400hp n/a on a 7m is a prayer. So instead since its a project car pull the motor get rods, pistons, bore the motor .20 over, cams and a valve train if you want to turn the motor any kind of rpms, turbo kit, ecu, and all the other necestys of going turbo (do your reasurch). 400hp to be honest more is easly reachable with a 7m.

It's all about what you what out of your ride. Both the 2jz and 7m are great platforms. Do your research and go from there. Good look and keep us posted!
