I was in the market this spring for a car (spring '11). I didn't know exactly what I wanted at first since I'm not the most car savvy person around. I wanted a car that I could learn to work on myself and could get me too and from VA Tech. I'm a reckless youngin' so obviously I was looking for a sporty car but a two seater wasn't practical enough for me. With lot's of input from friends I finally came across my supra. Something about it's sleek design, strong L-6 engine and reverence among the car community caught my eye.

I bought it from a guy in the west end of henrico, VA. He was selling it because he recently bought a 240 and needed the money for his own project. His grandfather pre-ordered the car off the line in '86. It stayed in his family going from his grandfather to his dad then to him. It was kept it really good shape and wasn't driven that much at all. He sold it to me with 76k original miles on it It was in great shape for a 25 year old car.

Anyways I joined up SM a while ago for help on certain things and haven't gotten around to puttin up my car profile. It's a work in progress and i'm definitely learning a lot and trying to take care of her as bets I can. Any input is welcome :)

It came to me stock.

Things done to it since I've got it:
Tokico Illumina Shocks
Eibach Springs
Replaced stock air filter with a cone filter
Painted Valve covers (Virginia Tech Orange goes so well with the metallic marroon :evil2:)
2 Polk Audio db 501 5" 2-way Speakers in the rear
2 JL Audio C2-400x 4" 2-way Speakers in the front
AIRTEX distributor cap and rotor kit
Denso Iridium Spark Plugs
Cleaned engine bay (June 2011)
new advanced auto rotors (7-9-11)
Porterfield R4S brake pads (7-9-11)

Waiting to be installed:
Energy polyurethane suspension bushings (front and rear)

Things I'd like to do:
replace water temp gauge
replace valve stem seals. since my first autocross it's been burning oil at start up (even only after sitting for a few hours)
fix semi-harsh clunk when shifting too quickly (think it's a little play in my ujoint)
foglight re-wire so i can turn them on without my headlights being on :naughty:
fix rear center tail light connection (there's a bad ground and it's really hard to get to the wire to solder and fix)

ya man! it's my first car and it's manual. I use it as a DD and didn't want to spend too much money and risk putting too much power under my foot :p for me, it's quite the monster as is

I might turbo it someday but that'll be when I have the money and can do it myself.
