I have one other part that will be happening first (91+ 6.5" front speaker pods) and then I don't mind taking it on.
I have the connections to have them done, I wouldn't be making them myself.
Some things to keep in mind:
Shipping is going to be expensive. Box this size with packing will run $10e (bought in bulk from Tharco - although, I'm not sure of the exact size, probably have to cut down). After that, the cost of shipping alone would be $20 at least with a high chance of these breaking without really good packing. So, tack on $30 total for box/shipping.
I'm betting with how few of these we would sell at onset, pricing would be 200-250 each (this isn't definate, but close). Very quickly we get into a range where it may not be worth it for a lot of guys. This is exactly what happened a few years back when I first looked into it. Since then, materials have probably gone up too. As people drop out, the price goes up and goes out of everyone's range.
Like I said though, first things first, I have another part I'm closer on at this point and I just don't have the extra time to organize two new parts being made.
For new parts, if all goes decent, it's 2-3 months from start to finish. Nothing ever goes 100%, so that makes it interesting as well.
