well um, dude, what do you expect.....its been two years!

Make sure the battery is up to par

ADD FRESH GAS <----------IMPORTANT

CHANGE YOUR OIL/FILTER <--------IMPORTANT

Add gas treatment, injector cleaner ect.

THEN

try again

After its started, go to a shop ASAP and get a full engine flush to get out the rest of the oil now gunked in every crevice. Coolant flush wouldn't hurt either

This will be a very hard start to your engine, theres basically minimal oil on important parts.

just follow the steps i provided, as long as your cold start injector is properly working the starting fluid isn't necessary

hey i checked my fuel pump by connecting the approriate diagnostic jumper and cant hear the fuel pump whirring

So you jumpered FP and B+ ? Do you have 12v at b+ where you jumpered it? If not, your fuel pump will not work. I assume you are looking at this too: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?S=Main&P=46

It sounds like you are on the right track, but the stock fuel pump is pretty quiet so you may have just not heard it running unless you had your ear close to the tank..

i did some resistance checks and found out that the cold start injector start switch is bad , could this cause the pump not to start up
,

No, the CSI and start switch are on different circuits. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?S=Main&P=038

Even with the CSI not working your car should eventually start. It just may take a few more seconds of cranking.

i also checked the fuel pump resistor and relay , is this what starts the pump ?

No, the resistor doesnt "start" the pump, it provides resistance to keep the pump running on 12v all of the time to extend its service life. The relay will only keep the pump from working if it is unplugged or has been somehow miswired by somebody that didnt know what they were doing. The purpose of the relay is to switch the current through the resistor or directly to the pump depending on engine load.

Jumping the diagnostic terminal bypasses all of that stuff and gives 12v directly to the pump whenever the EFI fuse.... EFI FUSE. DO YOU HAVE ONE IN AND IS IT TOAST? DID YOU VERIFY YOU HAVE 12V AT B+?????

is seems as if the motor is not getting any fuel. but it cranks over pretty good and that is all i hear , i did put some gas in the car anything else i should look for?

Did you just pour some gas in and not take out the old stuff? I can mix a shot of rum in a 2 liter bottle of Coke but that wont get me drunk! :biggrinki

If the car only cranks and doesn't start even after you've tested some other things mentioned above like the fuel pump test and new gasoline, it can very well be that the CPS wiring has gone bad.
I've had thesame problem last year.

That reminds me... did you check your codes yet?
