So last year, but yeah, it'd be something nice to do if you had two 16G's to slap on and custom make a y-pipe/down pipe for, along with a new intercooler and piping.

it is...if one very tight fit in the engine bay. This is the real Greddy the OBX was modeled off of on my spare engine for mockup of the intake piping and exhaust.

filter relocation kit.
Mine is under the bumper in front of the right fender well. I can change my filter in under 10 seconds. :)

You can leave it where it is if you really wanted to. No need to relocate it for space issues, though there are several reasons to ditch the stock bypass cooler arrangement.

You need to do custom AC lines however, as there is only 1/4 inch between that second turbo's compressor housing and either the strut tower or the frame rail.

soo, if i were to pick up one of these manifolds, lop off the Greddy 3 bolt flanges as well as a little material off the collectors, welded on the Real mitsubishi 4 bolt turbine flanges and used dsm turbos, would they clear those AC lines?

i was considering one of these manfolds and re-flanging it for the DSM 14b's since they are cheap and plentiful and they also make 200whp at 9psi each. they also spool pretty fast on 8.5:1 CR.

i wonder if the fitment and installation of the DSM turbos after modification of The Greddy twins manifold is worth the effort, or if i should just try to make a pair of Log-ish manifolds out of pipe sections.

Why they would shove those turbos down into that "heat hole" as I would call it is beyond me, it looks good from the top but must just be a damn roast for the turbos.

They are the reason for all the extra heat...top or bottom mount, the airflow is roughly the same on that side. It's only a couple of inches different height. If you wanted to get picky about the heat, remember that heat rises. You could argue a top mount is like putting a pot on the stove.

The 14b aren't bad at all. I have a knockoff manifold laying around as well and have thought about doing similar, but a pair of GT25R's...maybe next project. As for clearance, you'd have to measure while you mock up. I'm not sure how tall the frame of the 14b is and whether you'd gain the space you need or not.

well the 14b is an offset housing. rotating it so that it points toward the front of the supra means its backwards from the way it mounts on a DSM. so the turbo would sit even Further from the engine than in its stock form. maybe the mitsu turbos this manifold was for were reverse scroll?
