It's kind of up to you. Bumping it up 1/2 a point or down is not going to make a huge difference. For me personally, I like to get as much off-boost response as I can while trying not to cause too much knock on pump gas. If you are more concerned about knock then leave it 8.4-8.5. Going from the stock 8.4 to 9.0 compression is not going to turn your 7M into a 6.0 liter V8, it will just give a little tiny more response down low.
