Im getting about 18-21 mpg between city and highway driving with a 4.3 rear end. Unless you're boosting the entire round trip, I dunno. I'd make sure timing, compression, tire pressure, etc are all in line first. From there it could be a fuel leak, exhaust leak, something you'd have to diagnose up close.AaronsSupraMKIII said:

I get 19/20 in city and 22-24 on the highway depending how fast I run.. in my 87 w/ exhaust and a shitty filter..
VA sucks banning radar fuck that, when I passed through there I got some many signals on my Escort, they must want new equipment.

As for my milage. I am not boosting all the time. I do have a leak in between my AFM and Turbo. Could that be a contributer? As for timing, I really need to get it tuned on the dyno, just dont have the $$$ for it right now. Course I dont have the $$$ to keep spending $70 a week going to work and back either. LOL My tires say max psi is 44, I have them at 34. Is that to low? Just trying to ease the ride up alittle. Thanks for all the info.~Aaron

Further Update on my MK2-7mgte
Installed a HAC sensor (pre 89 harness). Car has had no HAC sensor since the 7mgte conversion. Put one in and instantly got 1-2 points of vacuum at idle and cruising. I also went from 4.10 rear to 3.73. No other changes, adjustments, or maintenance. Seems closer to what the car should be. Still can't turn more than 5 lbs boost.
Another LV-LA Road trip MPG report:
outbound 3200 rpm 90 MPH cruise 23.1 mpg
return 2500 rpm 72 MPH cruise 24.2
No A/C operation
Next Local 200 mile operation 19.8 MPG
Much satisfying improvement. The next thing to check is the ISC and CSI. There have been some small operating variances that suggest that they should be cleaned and checked. Will also be doing a Manual boost controller to check on the limited boost.
