Don't buy a mhg unless you plan on machining the block and head.. and at this point, maybe you should consider a full rebuild.

^ Thats what I am considering. There is a local machine shop just around the corner here Im going to visit them on monday to get a quote on head work and getting the block surface decked. I have some friends who work at Napa who can get me a good deal on the lineup of sealed power bearings so i hope thats a green light. I had these things in mind, if anyone suggests anything else please do let me know, thanks!

Rebuild list:

OEM engine gasket set
Titan Motorsports 1.4mm MLS gasket
ARP head studs
Main bearings
Rod bearings
Piston ring set
Driftmotion crank pulley bolt
New belts and hoses
Gates timing belt and tensioner
EGR blockoff plate
Rebuilt/Upgraded CT-26
Head/Block machining
valve stem seals
intake and exhaust valve sets
HKS ssqv blow off valve with intake piping
driftmotion intercooler
flywheel resurfacing
ACT clutch kit
new CPS cover with gasket/bolts
silicone radiator hoses

The biggest thing is machine work. Don't just throw it all back together. Make sure all of your clearances are spot on. Bore with timing belt tensioner torqued, use a torque plate, deck with lower timing cover.. that's all I can think of for now. Find a reputable machine shop.

Titan Motorsports 1.4mm MLS gasket <- Do not order until you know how much was taken off the block/head this goes for the bearings too
EGR blockoff plate <- Keep the EGR

Also, don't forget to add oil pump to you list.
And you might as well replace the water pump and timing belt while you’re at it.

Don't settle in on 1.4 for your head gasket, until you know how much material is removed from the head. You will be trying to keep your compression ratios from changing due to the removed material.
