7MGTE Manifold question

has anyone ever had a cracked stock manifold? My car is completly stock and recently i have noticed a ticking coming from the engine, when i checked it out, it seems like an exhaust leak from the rear. But i cant really tell. It also seems like it might be a cracked manifold. But with all the heat shield on i cant really tell.
I just want to know if its common to have a cracked manifold.

No its not too common, actually i've never even heard of them cracking.

Do you have the turbo stay bar still on?
(The support bar that goes from the turbo to the block)

I think its still there, i have to check when i get home.
Well if its not common then im guessing it has to be a exhaust leak. Now i just have to find from were......

bad manifold gasket? dowpipie and or elbow might be leaking. or the 02 sensor might be leaking, as i believe it has a gasket aswell. could even be a stripped out bolt so not sitting tight enough

Check the EGR recirc in the back as well. It's a PITA to get at if it is leaking...I had to do mine a little while ago.
