7mgte into n/a chassis

Hey guys, i got the motor in and running but it is running very rough at idle, once you rev it up it smooths out for the most part. I'm just wondering if the n/a and turbo models had different pumps, or if its just old regular gas and should smooth out once it gets some premeium in it.

nope, my 7MGTE's running on my 7MGE pump and all that.

check your timing and TPS, CPS, stuff like that, make sure timing's set properly..

Check coil pack and plugs as well. After my extended downtime before rebuild, I had a stumble at idle, and replacing my coilpacks and wires fixed it. Haven't yet inspected the old parts, to determine just what went bad.

test first, swapping parts gets expensive unless you have extras laying around

Put some gas in,check timing,check ignition components

Thanks for all the help, i'm in NC and the cars in Maine but i'll let my buddy know whos gunna work on it.

Also i was wondering if buying a maft pro would be worth it, its stock now but i plan on adding upgrades eventually and just want to go about it and make sure i don't blow anything.
