ok im doing a swap to a 88 turbo supra had a bad motor i bought a motor for it but it was out of an 89 with the gray plug harness, my question is is the wiring the same on both harnesses on the body side i have the 89 ecu, the plugs plug in to it but there is one extra plug and it doesnt look like the wires are in the same spot if anyone can help that would be great thank you

Now that I've got being an ass checked of my "to do" list for the day. Read on.
You stated that you have an '88 Turbo Supra. Use the engine computer and wiring harness from that chassis on the new motor. It'll all plug right in. You will have to swap a couple sensors where the plugs changed in '89, but it's all bolt-on/plug and play.
The wiring harnesses are different, and are NOT interchangeable. Don't try to use the '89+ gray plug setup on your car, because it just won't work.

yep thanks i did that and it cranks havent hooked up the fuel lione yet should be running in a couple days

use the one from your chassis, so use the one that fit the harness plugs in your car. Otherwise your car will not work.
