Like I said and many others have 6k for it to sit outside next to your supra without the engine in it. 6k more to finish it off.
I'm with everyone else. If you really want the 6-speed Getrag trans, you can do it but it'll cost you atleast $8k in parts, if you're lucky. Remember you'll have to modify the driveshaft tunnel, get a custom driveshaft, and get a MKIV diff and half shafts. $6k might cover the cost of the labor alone. Get the 2JZ-GTE, but mate it with an R154. The R154 is extremely strong. Hell, you can get the 2JZ-GTE with the R154 for less than $3k and then spend another grand rebuilding and fully upgrading the R154 (Marlin Crawler would be best to have this done by). So for less than the cost of that 2J with the Getrag, you'll have your 2J and a trans that's fully built and ready to handle the most insane of abuse. Spend another grand and you'll have a clutch kit that'll hold a shit ton of power. The only reason I'd ever put a Getrag in a MKIII is because I'd have a shit ton of money to blow and want bragging rights. The R154 is a very stout transmission that is designed to handle the abuse.
