7mge swap

hi i came there thinking i can get better info about the 7mge im doing a 7m swap in my mk2 and so far i have engine ecu wiringharness from a 1986.5 i dont have the donor car no more and what else would i need for the swap or can get away not having i do have the afm for as well tho :1zhelp:

Hi, I came here thinking I can get better info about the 7MGE.
I am planning to swap a 7MGE into my MK2 and so far, I have:

• Engine
• ECU
• Wire Harness
• AFM

All these are from an 86.5, but since I don't have the donor car any longer, what else would I need for the swap?

You need everything from the donor car, don't take shortcuts.
Whenever you are doing a swap, you need to have both complete cars until it's done so you don't have to go running around for extra stuff.

You'd need everything that's bolted to the inner fenders under the hood. Coil comes to mind.

i was not able to keep the donor car my friend was giving me parts from it,
he had to get rid of the car so i no longer have the car to get parts from
