You sure IJ, I had to "tweak" mine to get it around the turbo.

The dipstick and tube themselves are different, but they mount in the same location.

to clear this up the hole in the block for the dipstick is in the same place however the dipstick tube is different. to fix it simply get a turbo dipstick tube.

also toyota raced the group A cars without oil squirters for what its worth.

Hmm, Ok.
i think i'll ditch the n/a cam idea then.
have to get some stock turbo or higher duration cams later.

I'll probably get the n/a motor for the build from the yard if i can't find one in the next week or two. Pulling it in mid November will be no fun. =/

I'm sure i'll be able to drill and tap some oil lines.

The KS's may be a lil different of a deal though.

to get around running 1 KS order a rewire kit from schaff if he is still making them and he will splice the one KS into two leads so you can run both the KS inputs from the ecu to just one KS

Better to just drill and tap the bosses. The oil feed bosses are going to be a LOT harder though and personally I'd just get a GTE block...

Also, yes, the dipstick tubes are different and the NA dipstick is shorter and of a different design than the turbo.

Thanks, I thought I remembered the GTE's being longer; must've misread the part numbers when I just looked.

There are a few options for feeding oil to the turbo. Naturally, the stock location is best, but there is also the blocked off port below the filter, the oil pressure sender's port and there's a plugged port about 6" forward of the oil pressure sender's port. Drainage is the biggest pain, IMO.

Only the intake cam is different. The exhaust cams are the same.

If you wanted to get better breathing for your NA-T, all you'd hve to do is get a turbo intake cam.

Just wanted to add some 7mgte motors didn't come with oil squirters, i own two that don't and haven't had any problems with that. In fact the oil pressure is higher than a few that i have played with.( mine is 80psi cold and 50-60psi at cruise) 5w-30 castrol, non shimmed oil pump, -10 an full flow oil cooler.
Not sure if it's a jap import thing for all pre 89 models.

Yep, all USDM turbo cars came with squirters, it was different in Japan. More than likely early cars from the time before we had turbos over here, but it's only speculation.
