7mge auto in a 5 speed?

bought a jdm engine for my 86.5, 5 speed and the mechanic says its auto will it still work even if i have everything from my manual?
i tried searching for it but only found info on transmission swaps sorry :/

it will work i think you will need to put pilot bearing to crank and i think that throttle linkage is different

the only difference is that you need to put on a naw flywheel instead of the pressure plate, and dont forget to put in a new pilot bearing,=. everything else bolts on the same, i am doing the same swap right now btw .

^pp is part of the clutch. autos have flex plates not flywheels.

but yeah, everything works, just need to swap..

If it has the auto wiring harness you can keep it on your car. The only thing you have to do is bypass the neutral safety switch (easy).

i guess its good cause hopefully it wasnt beat on as much lol

not neccessarily, since it's way easier to burn out in an auto, especially with an open differential...
