7m wont start! No crank or click...

I found out the problem. The Previous Owner Hacked the Ignition key, so he wired the starter pwr cable straight to a switch that hides way below the steering collumn and none of the wires were hooked up. I assumed it was that, and it crank'd!

---Now the problem....The car Is not turning over. It cranks and cranks, then it makes a loud Grinding noise after i crank the motor for a while. Sounds like starter/flywheel grind (somewhat to that affect). I sprayed starter fluid in, the motor cant even catch to turn it over. So i know its not a fuel problem....any Guest????

sounds like a dead battery to me. check it with a voltmeter.

Battery is fine. I took the battery off of my Cressida and starts it up just fine. Which makes me to believe its my starter?

Check the 100 amp alt fuse in the engine bay box.

hey man.. make sure the fuel lines going up above the fuel pump didnt get kinked or pinched when you put the tank back up.. mine had the same problem

fuel lines are ok. The only thing is that i have 5 gallons of fuel in the tank, but reads that i am EMPTY?

All fuses are fine, i'll check the alarm. thanks guys

Just a thought, but did you hook up the wires for the fuel tank?

I think it's your starter. The teeth are worn out that why it makes that sound. I'm not too sure though. Koj yog hmoob lov? :biglaugh:

I dont thing its the starter though. Im just going to re-do my wiring harness and see what happens. Cause its not making that noise no more.
