Hey Guys im usually not one to post in the tech section here, but i havent had much luck finding anything else. My daily is an 87 supra gte. bone stock. The problem at hand is for one the high idle.(In drive 12-1300 rpm warm) and when it gets to say 1650 rpm it surges,, backs down,, then surges again. and it will just keep doing that until i move from that rpm.. now i have checked codes, and the only thing i got was Code 14. Which is ignitor circuit, ignitor, or ecu as the trouble area.. I tried a new ignitor. No Dice. im going to possibly try to swap ecu's. but if all else fails,, how many other people have had a wiring problem like this,, and has it ever caused a surge like this? Now there is one more thing im kinda leaning on if the Ignitor is not the problem,, i suspect the Iac gasket is leaking/or the iac is now about as usefull as a sack of potatoes.... Any Prior experience with the issue at hand would be great.. Thanks..

Sounds like you're dealing with a idle air control motor that's not closing enough! Pull it off, and pull it apart and clean it very well until it moves smoothly. Use new gaskets and make sure there are no vacuum leaks. I had that issue and this is what fixed it!
Good luck!!
