Heres what i did and then i will explain the problem.

Ill probably repeat myself a few times with certain things

New spark plugs, wires and valve cover gasket's
Now here i dont remember if i did anything with the wiring but

Problem:
it doesnt start, fuel pump isnt turning on or i am not getting any spark

I jumped a wire to the fp relay and i hear the pump prime

{{{Guy that had it before me has a wire running from 1 of the injectors, red wire i believe, to the fuel pump relay, (red wire) He said that "for some reason i wasnt getting power to this injector" }}}}

anyways, i took the remote starter out cuz he had it all rigged up, there was wires running everywhere, he had random buttons hooked up for example....... 1 of the buttons was to check engine codes (guess he was lazy and didnt want to jump them manually) i took that button out, he had other buttons that i do not know what the hell they were for but the car ran after i unhooked them so i know they have nothing to do with the problem at hand

What I Did So Far

As i said before, remote start and random wires/buttons

I check the power at the ECT from the TCCS and im getting power, with the ignition on im not getting power to the fuel pump wire

no power to the fuel pump relay when its not powered up by myself jumping

starts and runs fine if i do that though******forgot to mention, if i take the jumper off, it turns off****, replaced the AFM, TPS, put Moroso wires, and NGK Laser Titanium plugs, took viper alarm out of the 89 and put in the 88 when i took remote starter out, timing was good before i did valve cover gasket (doubt that has anything to do with it)

didnt go step by step TSRM yet but close to attempting, i didnt think it was gonna take me this long to troubleshoot "2 weeks"

I have 2 supras, 1 89 7m-ge and 1 88 7m-gte
ive been goin back n forth checking things but to no avail, switched stock theft system, no difference, switched relays for almost everything, no difference,

if you understand anything to do with this any input would be nice

I looked at the print and if it was me I would check the fuel pump resistor pack. If the resistor was blown the fuel pump would not kick on. That would be a good place to start. All you have to do is jumper the connector going to the resistor pack. See if it starts.

Fuel pump wont prime with key on it only kicks on when you begin cranking. Jump "FP" and "B+" in the diagnostic box with the key on, does the pump run?

if you mean the relay thing, i swapped em from the 89, and still the same thing

the fuel pump runs when you jump them, while running if you "un-jump" them it dies

actually if you jump them from the diagnostic plug it does not start

That should get you started.

Check your fuses and make sure that none of them are open. You know that you have a problem either getting power or ground directly to your fuel pump, so work your way back. There is a cover to access the fuel pump electrical connector in the back in case you need to. Im not sure which relay you are talking about there are multiple relays in the fuel pump wiring, sounds as if the previous owner ghetto rigged something, you should get that figured out.

since its a 88 its the same as my car. the fuel pump resistor pack and relay is on the pass side by the strut tower.

yes, tried another 1 in there and no difference

new battery, 11.70 volts, just put charger on it, died after trying to start it a while

The only purpose of the relay on the strut tower is to switch between 12v or 9v to the fuel pump. Which pins did you jump that allowed the pump to run? No matter the position of the relay, the pump should run.

Not exactly true. The ECU doesn't pick up the pump speed relay until after start. Since he also claims no spark the point is moot though...

The circuit-opening-relay and wiring would certainly be a good place to look. I am confused though, how do you expect to solve this problem without getting out a voltmeter and start to measure things?

I see what you are saying after I looked at the print again. What confuses me is that he says if you jumper b+ and fp and the diagnostic plug it will not run but when he says he jumpers at the fuel pump relay it starts and runs until he pulls the jumper. Of course if you pull the jumper out of the relay socket it is going to die. The diagnostic plug should bypass everything and put power straight to the fuel pump. I'm confused on this one.:yikes:

heh, your telling me, im so confused, all the wires look to be correctly hooked up, i havent tore down to the TCCS yet though, when i run a + wire straight from the battery to the relay it runs,,,,,, the guy that i bought it from had a wire from the FP relay to injector #3 i believe, i unhooked that and it ran crappy, like it was running on 4-5 cyl's so it has to be something in the wiring obviously, just cant seem to get it,,,,, if i dont have it by summer ima just hook up a switch to turn it on while i drive it ect... but mabye by then ill have it!

Except that the EFI circuit uses parallel power for safety.
