Hey my brother just got his mk 3 all together and for some reason under wot it runs rich and it sounds like 2 step around 4500rpm. It also seems with the SAFC we can never get the tune to be consistent the afr's are always changing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

yea its a fresh build. The coils are used but we changed them from the last set because cylinder 6 wasnt firing. The only thing we did different from the last build is its FFIM with 90mm throttle body and 1000cc inj. The only thing we can think of now is something with the wiring or the ECU. We have the fuel pressure turned down and it will still run rich unless we pull so much from the SAFC. We have to put it like -30. or it will be runnin like 12.8 afr's cruising and at idle

^ what he said... your running way too rich.. thats if you even upgraded the fuel pump to output enough pressure for 1000cc's. Do you even have an AFPR?

Mods?

The car did the same thing with the 440cc injectors though. Once you go WOT it pulls good then when it hits 4500rpm it just sounds like its hitting a rev limiter. We put the 1000cc injectors in because were running E85. My buddy has the same mods on his Mk3 and his runs fine. With the bigger stock turbo on E85 he made 440whp

We do have a AFPR. We have a the entire fuel system upgraded for E85 the only thing I can think of thats wrong is the ECU or Wiring problems somewhere

You should post up a list of all mods.

Try to get the car closer to stock and see how it does. ie: Reinstall 440's, remove the SAFC, etc...
