7m gte diff oil cooler

a while ago i was asked when i removed one to post pics of the uk spec 7mgte diff with factory oil cooler

I just finished cutting up my parts car and i never seen any oil cooler or heatsink of any sort.. .It was an 87 turbo, targa. .. there isn't even a fitting on the diff for a cooler .. :S

Pretty neat, I question how effective it actually is though, unless they snuck a pump in that diff somewhere.

Regardless, unless you're running an endurance road race series with your supra you don't need anything aftermarket to cool the gearbox, trans, or even engine for that matter. But to each his own.

It is definitely factory. Looks like a heat pipe, there is another piece inside that you cannot see that touches the oil in the bottom of the diff. See the attached pic. I believe IJ discussed this in his build thread.
