7m destrok with a diffrent block

i would trully like to build a high rev 7m with a more squar block
now what i asking is can you put a 7mgte head on a 5m block

Put a 5m crank in a 7m Block, that will give you a shorter stroke and 2.8 liters of displacement.

yea if you change the block its not a 7m anymore

yes, but the 5M crank doesn't work so well...

but yes, IIRC the 7M head bolts onto the earlier M blocks... (much like the 1J and 2J)

the crank is to short aron was building a 2.8 l 7m using the 5m crank. aron had to extend the 5m crank so that it would fit the 7m components


the two blocks that i was looking at is the 4m sohc which is a 2.6L and the 5m 2.8
does anyone know what the rods/piston from the 5m can take. from what i know the 5m has a moderatly low compression like a 8:8.1 or some thing to that effect so im thinking if the the rods can take 4oo then i would just need to go with piston
