1) So im just about ready to take my motor(7mgte) in and have it inspected for the build. I am only planning on 400hp plus or minus. I am on sorta a low budget so i cant go all out.

2) I will still plan on doing every thing as right as possible. I have decided i will be going with OEM gaskets from the dealers minus the head gasket. If you can think of anything else for me to pick up from them let me no.

Heres a small list of stuff i need for building the bottom end only.

3)-Pistons(i think im going ross)dont no size until shop looks block and tells me how much they will have to bore.

4)-I'm gonna be reusing the rods. ( Is it a bad idea to reuse bolts or not)Shop will be balancing rods to pistons and also resizing rods if neccassary.

5)-Used crank (shop will balance and grind)

6)-I currently have new clevite 77 main crank bearings and also rod bearings. I am planning on replacing all the bearings in the engine with new ones(clevite).

7)-I think i also need some sorta bearing or something for the oil pump or something.

8)-Plan on changing oil squirters or springs in them. Not sure what to replace and or what to buy from toyota.

Below is what the shop quoted me

-Bore and hone $160

-crank grind $120

-resize rods $120

-balancing rods to pistons $220

-He forgot to leave out having the block shaved for H/G but i cant imagine it cost more then a 150 bucks.

SO if ya can think of anything else let me know cause that would be great..

Thanks, Kyle

New oil pump! A commonly forgotten thing.

Have the rods shot peened and balanced for peice of mind.

ARP rod bolts.

Use the TSRM to get all the tolerances, make sure the shop stays within all the tolerances.

Are you using ARP head studs for the MHG you WILL put in lol. I was quoted yesterday at $11.37/oil squirter at a local Toyota, seem high to others or is it just me?

MAKE SURE TO HAVE THE RODS RESIZED WHEN GOING WITH ARP ROD BOLTS.

Sorry, just had to make that known. Now make the machine shop know it.

thanks for all the info and yes balancing, and resizing the rods are part of that quote that i got. I dont think that shot peening is part of that. Ill have to look into it.

The oil pump is one thing i was planning on intalling new...Forgot to put it down.

ARP head studs yes i will defenently do.... Um arp rod bolts not sure about but if you guys feel its a must then i will.

And last thing is when i get the oil squirters are the springs part of it????Do they come with???Or do i need to buy them seperate...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they spring is on the bolt that you're buying. I'm too lazy to go take one out of my block in my garage and it's cold.
