For a pulley,yes.
If he can get someone to pay for, good for him.
umm.... i think thats more than fair for a custom part. plus these are cnc'd and look badass.
wesbeech is there any weight savings to these? also do you plan on maybe making a whole set(PS,alt, and water)???

im a machinist myself...and considering he isnt mass producing these pulleys $80 is very very fair!.....in general shop time is about $40-100 an hour....probably took him 2 hours to to write the program if not more....then to set up the machine which was probably two or 3 operations one on a milling machine...so probalby 4 hours in set up time.....cost of material which is not cheap at all considering that looks to be bar stock.....as an individual price $80 is a steal!

BUT BUT BUT for $80 i want it made out of 7 series alum not t6....this is my machinist talking in me....i work with exotic metals darn near exclusively and t6 is kinda soft.

^ Hence why I said to have them hard anodised ;)

I cant rember if its t6 or t7 but i think t7 cuz its the good stuff we use to make right angle heads and all those tolls out of but im looking into them anodised

I come from a land down under
"T" is the hardness and T6 is what we would normally see as "Hard" aluminium but it's still quite soft and prone to wear.

Having them hard anodised can bring the surface hardness up to 40+ rockwell which is harder than some steels and reduces wear, my set have 0 wear so far so it's well worth investigating Wes if you're going to offer a quality product.

(most after market pullies are just soft anodised to make them pretty)
