I would go for the lift, I can see them tires rubbing like no tomorrow when you get up to speed, they sure did when I lifted my Ranger, although thats a diffrent beast. Nice truck by the way, the bigger tires off set the existing lift, lol.

I always loved that body style, my father had a white one with a small lift and he used it for fire wood, I loved that truck.

I think I'm just going to cut the fenders, then when I replace the bed and doors, I will also replace the cut fenders and throw some more lift under it, or maybe not who knows.

I would just lift it more. It'd be much easier in the long run, and much less work as well. Deal with the rubbing for now until you have the money...

Yeah I'm going to lift it another 2". Shackle flip the back and get a set of 4" rear springs for the front. That'll give me around 6 and that should be plenty, I'll probably still have to trim a little bit but not much.

Haven't done anything on it recently, I was going to bolt the steering box back on because I guess I don't have to change it but then found a wasps nest on my alt belt :| too bad half my shit is taken apart or I would have just fired up the motor. Instead I sprayed it with the hose, haha.

Hopefully I'll have a front diff soon, right now I keep finding them and it keeps falling through and they sell before I get a chance to get it. Hopefully soon I'll get one and then I can put it back together.

Moved it around again a bit today, and checked if there's going to be any interference issues with the tires. At full lock they come close to the cab mounts, but more lift will fix that. When I'm holding the wheel at full lock they come very close to my leaf springs, I might have some issues with the big lugs rubbing but not like I drive at full lock all the tiem so it shouldn't be an issue.

Shit, I haven't posted in here in a while. Haven't done anything to the truck but price out parts for it :( my tires rub my leaf springs bad when I'm turning, oh well. I might just get new wheels with more offset to fix that, oh well. Hoping to get everything together this winter so I can actually wheel it next summer :(

I know how that goes. I stopped looking at lockers/gears for my pickup when I bought a daily driver. Gotta build that bank acct. back up!

Well I could always sell my 42's, buy another set of 38's and my front diff and not have to add more lift or re-gear it...hmmm... :(

I did something on it today, I finally finished putting together my new power steering hose. Russell black/silver ends and braided hose. I'll take a pic and post it tomorrow.

Pics were taken with my phone so they aren't the best but my batteries are dead in my camera.

Nah, keep the 42's! :) That hose looks good! :) (is it rated for the pressure of a PS system?)

Cool. :) Well, if it does blow, at least you get a good upper body workout driving that beast home with 42's on it!

I've got the hose I took off still. If it blows up I'll get someone to grab it and bring me it, haha. I remember when my old line blew up. I turned into my friends driveway and heard this loud pop and that was it, blew the hose right out of the fitting, hahaha. That sucked, I can't imagine driving it with no power steering and the 42s.
