i haven't found a spension set up that i think it worthy of sticking under the car yet.

You must not be looking hard enough. Just about ANY thing is better than a blown stock suspension, lol.

Eibach or QA1 coilovers up front, choose your spring rate, KYB AGX shocks all around, and STs or Dobinsons in the rear

Whiteline or Addco (if you can find them) swaybars.

Awesome pics btw :)

Nice^

i have always loved the mk3 but could never bring my self to slide her agressivly on the track.

i chose to use the lighter chassie so she'll be more nimble that and she'll turn a tighter circle.

im gonig to try to get some in car video posted tonight, wont be as nice as the other video's i posted since we never checked to see if it was veiwing the track, but it give's good sound, and driving positon and such.

just need to fire up the old desk top to get the firewire active.....

most of the time just throttling into it.

if i need action faster i'll kick it a bit with the clutch.

but the car is making 335whp. and 330ftlbs it isn't really hard to get her sideways.

Have you done anything to the steering to get more angle? I noticed in the first vid you spun alot. Get rack spacers, take off the damper and the stops. You won't spin as much. More angle. My previous first pic I was at full lock.:biglaugh:
The video to go with it, I'm not in it but awesome!

By the way I am going throught the same thing with my suspension. I am going with a custom Koni setup from TIP from Wiisass on this forum. He knows alot about these cars. Most of the MKIII stuff will transfer to the MKII. You really should contact him. Even though my pics are awesome, the car has along way to go. I just bought sway bars, wheel spacers, stiffer springs and regular koni adjustables for now. The car really isn't too safe with the body roll I have now. I was drifting with Eibach Pros, and steering mods, spacers, damper removal and p/s cooler to slow the steering down so it doesn't feel overassisted. It's all about being safe.

It's not easy and takes lots of practice, I used to race sprint cars so I do have some experience driving sideways. Drifting is different though. More skill doing transitions, right to left, than going around in a circle. I'm glad to have some good instruction. You should try it. 7m's have alot of torque and will surprise you.
