6th cylinder not firing? (fixed)

random "break down"

i was driving around town when all of the sudden it had no power and the car started shaking pretty bad.

reeks of gas out the exhaust, so i'm assuming a cylinder isnt firing.

checked it out today, all plug wires are on the plugs, plug valleys have little oil.
i swapped plug from cylinder 1 to cylinder 6 and it's still not firing (to check, i take off the plug wire from the dizzy, and engine stays running the same)

are there any other things i should look into?

only thing i havent done is swapped plug wires, but those were installed less than 5k miles ago.

have you tried checking for spark on that plug or are you just doing a cylinder balance test sounds like a wire or cap you can phisicly check it for spark with a screwdriver on the valve cover good luck

Squirt some oil in the cylinder and test it again. If the numbers go up you have bad rings. If they stay the same then the problem is in the head. It could be a number of things and almost all of them require the head to come off.

That looks like a Felpro gasket to me...doesn't appear to have the copper sealing rings n the water jackets either... Shave the head and replace with a dealer gasket! At least that's what I did, and it's been fine for years now...
