NOYFB!
Another way to tell if it was a Turbo from the factory,is the vin; JT2MA70. If it was a Turbo (7MGTE) that would be JT2MA71. What's really weird is that right below the vin, on the firewall, it's stamped MA70! The Japanese did some strange things, but I sure like their Supra's!

i dont know about this. it would most likley make a great parts car but you could find yourself in way over your head if you pick up a beater and try to make a show winner out of it. and about trying to tell if it's turbo or not: go to cardomain.com and look at some pics of some stock turbo supras and some stock N/A's. the difference is pretty easy to see, turbo has the "3000 pipe" and on the N/A's the 3000 pipe does not say 3000 but splits into two pipes. and if the motor was rebuilt the guy should have some records of that, bills for the labor and such. if he says it's been rebuilt there should be proof of that. the people who owned my car before me gave me every record on the car, including the original recipt from when they drove it off the dealers lot in 1988. and if you do decide to get it i have a brand new in the box raidiator that i'll be willing to sell.

i give him 400 and call it a deal im sure he wants it out. its up to u if u want to rebuilt it or part it out. i personally would part it out or take the car apart and look for a shell.

I agree 400 dollars and you can have a nice project to learn on and something you can be proud of. It doesn't look that bad. I would do it if it were close to me for sure.

i got mine in very similar shape to that for 150$

replaced the radiator support with a new one from toyota, and threw a new nose and hood on and have been driving it ever since. I had no frame damage.

sounds like an ok deal..

edit: nvm just saw pics.. that thing is dead... run away.. you can find better.. I wouldn't pay more then 100-200 if the interior is complete, good condition and grey.. thats a parts car..

yea its all in the frame. even with frame damage though how much $$ you think you could get out of that as far as parts and drivetrain

Dud, I bought a RUNNING MKIII for $150!!! Easily saved over a grand from using parts.( Misc. trim, engine, LSD, carpet etc.)
