Since I actually search, again, I've came to reply into a thread that has died away...so I'm bringing it back. QUESTION:
Exactly what is the difference between a 60 trim and a 60-1 trim?
I've got a 60-1 on the way right now...I know that in most cases, the 60-1 can hold just a little bit more power than the 60... but what's the "1" stand for? Thanks.:)

IIRC, the 60-1 has a T04E compressor wheel & the 60 trim is just that, a 60 trim compressor.

Well I know that .57 Trim has better spool...it was almost like stock spool...could hardly tell (I had a .57Trim on my car)...obviously, the bigger the wheel, the more lag there is going to be, but from what I'm hearing from "most" people, the 60-1's have pretty decent spool time and still have some top end(10degree clipping)...I don't know too much about the 60trim though...

The clipping is done to make the shaft last longer and the turbo run longer into the higher rpm ranges.

The ct26 turbine is efficient (sp?) to the point that if left unclipped with a large compressor wheel, it will try to accelerate faster than the compressor. When this happens, you get shaft twist and ~*SNAP*~.

But no to answer your question the 60-1 shouldn't be that slow. Sounds to me like the wastegate is fubar, you have a major pre turbo exhaust leak or the turbo itself is in time for a rebuild.
