wanted to thank the following peeps in no particular order; without you i would not have finished this swap as fast as i wanted to and not as clean as it turned out.

Curt Aigner Elmhurst Toyota
Gary Martin SF member
the swap took about a week to do, total time invested was about 30 hours or so. The Majority of the swap was done on a weekend including cutting the tranny tunnel and replacing it with a new 6 speed tunnel.
Transmission
New 6 speed differential and driverside axle
All the pedal parts
HKS Twin plate and tranny tunnel
First things first, drop entire exhaust and driveline and install 6 speed diff and driverside axle. Remove center console, auto shifter and clear way of tunnel inside the car, when cutting make sure the wiring inside doesnt get in the way.
Next cut tranny tunnel and install new tranny tunnel section, tack wield the part in place and use all weather sealent.
Next drill firewall for clutch master and clutch pedals. Replace auto brake pedal with 6 speed one.
at this point the modifications are done and the only thing left to do is a clutch swap as per a 6 speed so unbolt the flex plate and install the flywheel and pilot bearing.
and from here install the clutch and transmission, install fork and clutch slave, bleed clutch, reconnect driveshaft and exahust etc... wiring was simple, the speed sensor plugs in. The big grey plug has a the yellow wire and black/red wire; those are for reverse and they need to be spliced on the connector of the 6 speed trans; and finally you need to ground out the park and neutral switch so ground out the black/white wire and black wire.
reassemble inside of the car and install 6 speed shifter and interior panel
/end
thanks!
