5v signal output

im about to install maft pro on my 7m i was wondering if any one knew where to get a 5v signal output for data logging on the ecu or if just buy a 5v restrictor diode and tap a 12v

no manual..the wideband isnt vehichle specific...all it shows is finding a 5v or using that restrictor.

There is 5v somewhere in the dash. Not all the components work off of 12V

i believe that VC wire from the ecu is the 5v

Resistor is applicable only if you have constant and small current . What current you expect ?

In this case you do not need resistor ! You can use some kind of simple 3 pin stabilizer like 7805 . You can see example of schematic here :

Total expenses do not need to be more than ~5$ but you will get rock solid 5V voltage to around 1A ( 1000ma , depend from model) current .

gotcha. i thought you were datalogging off the maftpro and didn't know why you needed a 5v line

i looked at the pinout for the jaw...i was looking at the rpm signal, thats what needed to be 5v.as far as datalogging what does the maft pro datalog besides the a/f ratio i know that needs to be tap into the wb with the orange and purple connector

After making this stabilizer and get stable 5V you can put potentiometer and emulate signals from 0 to +5V like this from sensors if this is what you need .

does the maft pro datalog the rpm's? or is that needed to be tapped to the vout1?,if so does the mp handle the 12v's?

The maft pro logs everything. Rpm, mani pressure, afr, tps, airflow g/second I belive and so.

I only wish you could set it up to log ground speed
