Some jackarse(s) keep messing with my car, they've pretty much screwed up my lock barrel on the driver's side.
The plastic piece surrounding the handle has large holes in it from them trying to part it from the door, in order to unlock the car that way. Some of these idiots have had success in the past, the worst being they screwed up my ignition last year.
After having that fixed, the next time they messed up my drivers side lock, and a few days ago, they screwed it up further to the extent that its fairly difficult to lock/unlock my car.

I guess that's the price of living in a craphole of a city that is vancouver.

So somehow my supra decided to write a note to them and left it on the driver's window.

I hope you know that now your car will be missing and not just messed with. I know someone who had there stock '01 Altama stereo stolen with a note on the dash, "Thank you for supporting my drug habit".

I am having second thoughts about the sign, but I also have troubles believing its drug addicts. It seems whenever people do have security cameras, the video shows the thieves to be perfectly healthy people simply interested in stealing things. Just look at baitcar.com. I'm not saying there aren't druggies out there stealing stuff, I think the druggie angle is overplayed, our city's general attitude is that theft is an acceptable practice.
I am interested in setting up some sort of surveillance, I am an electrical engineering student, so i have considered getting a crappy camera and see if i can manipulate it via a circuit to take pictures when i want to. Mainly the issue is finding a camera that can take pictures without the clicking noises and is relatively easy to decipher the circuit. I usually lose interest in it due to the time commitment, simply to fight a basic feature of our city. I mean realistically, pictures do nothing.
