like i said many are using the stock fpr with no problems. AFPR is just another area for tuning. Raising or lowering the fuel presure is the same effect as getting larger or lower size injectors. some companies gauge their injectors at different fuel presure. I think 43 psi is the normal presure to measure. RC engiinerings website has a calc that will tell you the effective size of an injector at different fuel presures. Raise the fp above 43 and our 440s are spraying amounts of fuel like a larger injector. I would imagine there is a diminishing return as you raise the fuel presure up and up not to mention limit to the fuel pump.

what is the upper limit on our oem fpr? How much boost will it provide fuel for before it is opened up all the way? Does it allways provide 1:1 fuel to boost throughout it range?

It appears that the stock regulator will do 25 psi or higher with no problems. I just feel safer with aftermarket afpr and with a stand alone it did help me tune my idle better.
