I raced Brent (not sure of his forum name) from BC with his 57trim ct and 4.3 diff (401whp iirc). Me 530whp (pump gas).

25 or 30mph roll. He jumped in front real quick in second. Must be nice to have no lag ;) I started to make up ground in third but we ran outta room. Had this been on the highway the outcome would of been slightly different, but his car just fucking hauls!! I was very impressed!

I knew he would be fast because of his 1/4mile time 12.8? Good run, we'll have to do it again next year.

Not just because of the 4.30 diff, but Brent's car just flat hauls!!!:aigo: My .57 trim peak tq comes in at about 4100 rpm, peak hp at 5888 rpm. The only difference in Brent and I's set-up is the diff (me 3.73) and he has 550 injectors and is always really rich. His car tuned correctly, will be the highest hp .57 trim...I'd bet the farm on that!:icon_razz

Yes its a crazy fast car, I don't think his 4.30 and the fact that he has full boost at 3200rpm's hurt him when going from 30mph :p Regardless, his car is sweet, are extremely fast!

Damn! Does it sound like I'm making excuses? He rocked me!

This is an awesome thread. Here we have two very powerful Supes, the lesser powered one beat a more powerful one, and we have a classy Supra owner who readily admits defeat. Nice run, and props to both of you. By what I read, I gotta ask: if both cars have the same setup, i take it both are running 57 trim CT26's. If so,what accounts for the 129Hp difference? And why is one turbo laggier than the other? I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding something here.

nooooooooooo Nate is running HPF stage 3 turbo kit(i think) and Brent is running a 57trim, hence Nates lag.

Seriously, the 50 trim has a larger exducer, but a smaller inducer, IIRC (like 3.0" vs 2.95" = exducer)

On paper, the 50 trim seems better than the 57 trim... I don't think anyone's ever gone balls out on the 50 trim to see what it'll do :)

i say you to should go at it again at PIR sometime before sept 19, call it a pacnw rematch meet as many of us had plenty of excuses for not doing our best up at mission, clutches sticking, gears being missed, and of coarse that annoying ass fuel cutt off.
and theres more room to keep going wihout the risk of rearending traffic.

nate: takes some character to admit defeat.

Great story Nate. That's exactly how my wife beat me. Her turbo is an upgraded ct26, and mine is a Garrett to4e. In an 1/8 mile, she's hard to beat. I can't believe I brought this back up. The counseling I have been doing was really helping until I just relived the whole race against her..................;)
