That's awesome man! Congrats! I'd be very interested to know how long the tranny lasts... if it lasts for a year or more with that much power I may get an IPT built unit myself!

Its been in the car 2.5 years already, driven hard, and still great, probably in mid to high 400 HP range all that time, still great, fluid still looks new.

you can get all the rebuild parts from IPT for like 1200-1500 off the top of my head I believe... that includes the high stall converter.

If you want it shipped to your door, complete bolt on it's something like $3800 (shipped to California from New Jersey). That's what it was last time I priced it out. Check out IPT's website, I forget what it is, but search for "IPT transmission" on google and it will pop up, he has pricing and info on the website.

Great job! sounds like you're getting the hang of the Maftpro, BTW, that 508whp through the auto should put you at 635bhp based on the potential 20% loss. So um....go hunt down some Z06's would ya ;)

Wow Ken, awesome job. I guess you are eligible to go on the GTE Power site now !!!

What do you think is the single most important upgrade you did to attain such high numbers. I noticed your turbo is pretty awesome and the FFIM is likely to add a few horses.
I think it was the combo of everything, but the FFI is one of my favorite parts for sure, I'm glad Im to the point where the head work starts to pay off!

thanks for the graph!

it isnt too far off using rpm. i thought there might be a little more disparity there. your converter must be fairly tight.

usually on the bigger stall converters you will have higher than actual torque down low and lower than actual hp peak because of the converter slippage. best way to dyno for sure is the speed instead of rpm because of that.

and of course, the higher the stall the higher the disparity. if you look at the curves they are shaped a little different.

thanks for posting!

I think your build is great. I like the detail of the engine also. Clean is where it is at.

I want to use your dyno for a demonstration if you don't mind too much. That front facing manifold has shorter runners, and very large plenum. That really helps his top end pull. But it also sacrficies down low. If you look at other graphs with the stock intake manifold, you will see how the 7M spikes earlier. I just want everybody to see what they are getting when they go with a FFIM, with a larger plenum and shorter runners.

Thanks Nick & no problem, use it. I have plans to overcome low end sacrifices, It actually felt better on the low end too after FFI, but that doesnt mean much, I definitely didnt feel any loss on low end. Ron does beautiful work.

I put a link to the video back up in the first post!

Thanks Mike! Yes it is awesome, the coolest is hearing it from the outside of the car for the first time, It sounds so bad ass, unlike the rice mobiles. I wish the audio on my vid was better, when it finally started screaming it just distorted, the camera couldn't handle it. Thats one goal down, now to work on the other at the track next weekend. I will be going the alky direction come spring time after the body resto, and when I get the cams, Im jonesing for more already....lol....30 or bust

hahahah

car sounds good, but that camera makes the turbo sound like tuning a short wave radio. either that or 50's sci-fi movie.
