Ok, officers have the right to shoot to kill if the suspect threatens an officers life. I understand that. Now... guy just got ejected from a car and is lying on the ground conscious or not is it still ok to shoot to kill (or beat)? I can understand if he just wont stop then crack away and think nothing else about it but when there is no resistance just cuff and take him in. You already have video evidence that he tried to kill a cop. He's already goin away for a very long time but because they wanted him to "suffer" they just gave him freedom. God bless bad decisions. :: facepalm ::

Is anyone here a police officer?

EDIT- All this could have been avoided had the guy not broken the law in the first place. I believe that once you break the law you have given up your rights, especially when you endanger the lives of innocent people and police officers.
To those who say "fuck the police." Go fuck yourself. If the driver ran over a family member, friend or even a pet you'd be wanting the drivers head on a chopping block. Do what they do for a day.

I don' think the guy was actually aiming for the cop more than he was trying to avoid the spike strip. The dumb ass cop threw the spike strip out and stood there like a fucking moron thinking the guy is just going to run over the strip like a good little bitch.

It's obvious the guy is unconscious. With 50 years of experience between these guys they should have had better self control and acted a little more professional. Being a cop is a job just like every other job. I want to call people dickheads and cunts all day where I work but I don't for fear of being fired.

Cops deserved it. Guy would've gotten his punishment by huge fines and jail time. Not to mention he got thrown out of a car and knocked unconscious. If he had been shooting at them it would be a different story.

A have quite a few cop friends, all of them less than 5 years in. They all handle situations very well and never over-react. I've ridden along with a few of them. Some cops just have a power trip regardless of how many years they've been with the force. Some guys are nice and calm and others are dickheads who get off by ruining or trying to ruin someones day/night.
