well there is a local person selling a 4age out of a corolla, and the old 20r in the celica kinda needs replacing. think it would be worth the swap? the celica is in ok condition for its age. or would i be better off with a 22r? just looking for some options. b/c there still is my 85 supra waiting for a 7m rebuild. the guy is only asking 500. found what i was looking for. looks like it would be alot of work.

i think am going to stick with the 20r cheaper to rebuild b/c i have all the parts. i'll probly go with a webber carb tho, and block off alot of the other parts. i talked to the guy with the 4age and it has a bhg. meaning the whole thing needs a rebuild. it was the same old bhg questions. it felt as if i was asking about a supra. he just kept saying it didnt over heat. i just kept saying its going to need complete rebuild. i ended up having to hang up on the guy.

b/c i dont think i have anything wrong with the block. other then the low compression. thats would be just extra money i would have to put in it. if i find out anything wrong with it. i will go that route. this is a very low buget DD. i might end up driving it till it blows up. then part it out and scrap it. i only have 600 in the whole car.

22R fails. 18R-G wins, dual sidedraft type T Mikuni carbs FTW.

i disagree on 22r fails but. have to agree on the 18R you will enjoy it a lot more then the 22r its meant to be in the little trucks though the torque is nice and peppy enough to get you around. 18r is much more satisfying.
