im going to have to go against u here IJ

i was making 400 daily driving and 440 for drag/race (and this is australian power so prob getting closer to 500 in USA)


i atleast know the motor hasnt been freshed up in the last 4 years and before that i wouldnt have a clue but its got approximately 200,000 km on the clock now and has taken 1 year of abuse at 400 hp

Maybe you got lucky. 65K miles isn't a lot but that doesnt mean much if he knows nothing about the motor's history. He doesn't lose anything by checking it out.

Also, do you plan on prepping your block at all with this MHG? If not then you're just asking to blow it again. And what cryoslash said is absolutely correct, "just fixed BHG now rod knock?!?!!"

Oh it will be pretty damn soon if you don't replace the rod and main bearings along with the thrust washers . Coolant in your oil eats the soft bearings up pretty quickly. Do a search on, "hey I did my HG repair, now I have rod knock".
