350z track rotors are 12.75" and the mk4 supra are 12.72" so if they are bigger than they gotta be bigger than that. I havent tried adapting the 3000gt vr4 rotors. i believe that one is 13.1 inches but don't quote me on that

I come from a land down under
I'll be doing a "kit" for a friend in a few weeks time based on Mk4 Callipers and 350z track Rotors.

I have all the hardware here it's just waiting till I finish the current run of parts I'm making.

Still nobody is saying yes or no, just hearsay. Do the MK4 calipers bolt straight up WITHOUT the MK4 knuckle? Kinda sounds like no.
And although some rotors may be bigger, how much of that is the actual rotor. Cuz alot of times when there are bigger rotors, the hat is just bigger and the actual clamping section is the same which increases the diameter of rotor which increases rotational inertia.
You would want a large section of rotor to clamp down. More area of rotor equals more friction. Which equals more heat (of course) but more stopping power.

Hey group A supra,

I tried pm'ing you and still no response probably busy but anyways, just curious, you said if anybody wanted a set to send you a pm. But then on your website you kinda state that you just deal locally in europe.

My question is are you willing to ship to the US?

I am running the Nightpager Kit with 350Z track rotors, 300zx 4 piston calipers with Hawk pads. I actually bought the kit from twinturbozs . I tried to install some mk4 tt rotors before I had the 350 z ones, but didnt like the result. Here is some FACTS:

1. MK4 calipers will not bolt on, without some kind of custom bracket. They are also very heavy, as they are part iron and part aluminium.

2. MK4 rotors will work, they are hubcentric but either need to have the inside "hat" of the rotor macined to fit over the MK3 hub(which isnt a very good idea) , or machine the mk3 hub down so the rotor fits over the hub. It is about 1/16-1/8" clearence that is needed.

3. The mk4 tt spindle can be used, but its not a a good idea as it moves the center line of the wheel and will change the castor and alignment of the car causing odd handling.

4. 350Z track rotors do fit, and clear the hubs, but they are not hubcentric, and need a small ring machined to center the rotors on the hub. A few washers are also needed to center the caliper to the rotor, as they are offset a little more than the mk4 rotors which the kit was designed for.

5. The brakes work AWSOME!!! on the street, I have not been able to make these fade even a bit, with autocrossing, and multiple high speed highway runs with heavy braking and fast downhill driving on windy roads. Anyone who has done this more than once back to back with stock brakes knows how scary it is when the brakes go on you at 100+ mph. I have not tried these on a full road course yet, and i have heard that they will fade a bit after a few laps. But for on the street these are amazing and you wont need anything more.

Installed ,without the hub spacer, you can see the gap between the hub and rotor.

Are there any calipers that will grip all the way down on the rotor fin? See the unglazed ring around the rotor surface, if you were clamping down on all that, that would add alot more stopping friction!

It also gives the brake pad and caliper more "leverage" against the hub and rotor, but moving it further out....

I know this thread is mostly about how to get bigger brakes for cheap. But Endless makes a high quality big brake kit for the a70. Endless also makes some really good racing (and street) pads. However, they are much more expensive than Arz's kit and they may not even work better. But I thought I'd throw them out there because their calipers are really nice, too bad about the price though (or, too bad I don't make more money).

it's still more braking area than stock, but the REAL point int eh braking system is to ADD MASS as the stock parts are too thin (rotor wise) and not enough mass caliper wise to stop the heat from being transfered to the brake fluid (which is the really scary part when it boils and you have NO brakes)

if you're wanted better then the nightpager, you have a few options:
a) make em yourself, but I don't recommend this as perfection is needed
b) buy one of the many kits, in which arz has the cheapest bang for the buck right now IMHO...
