4:30 Lsd

Anyone running a 4:30 LSD in their turbo supra, just curious to know how much of a difference it makes?

I ran the 4.3 non-LSD for about a year, and didn't notice any difference in acceleration when I switched to 3.9 LSD. But I was ready to sacrifice a bit of off-the-line acceleration in exchange for lower highway rpm's, just didn't feel a change.

I have one in my 1jz and LOVE it, compared to the 7m with a 3.73 that I drove (simalar mods) it pulls so much harder. I also love that a 60-120 pull is from 3rd to 4th with my rev limit.

I had a 4.30 LSD with my NA stock, but it started with the grind of death, and the replacement that I could get was a 3.909 LSD.

It didn't seem to make an appreciable difference, though I was running NA at the time.

What are you looking to do that has you wanting to swap lsd's?? I am sure the engineers at Toyota did some research to see which lsd works better with the 7m.

There are so many factors to take in consideration like type of driving, power band, overs quare or under square engine, and is it a turbo or NA.... etc

You cant compare a 1jz with a 4.3lsd to a 7m with a 4.3....

well, I have a 1990 Turbo Automatic. I'm into drag racing, I was thinking of replacing rear gears for steeper so just replace the diff with another, for quicker acceleration.

the 4.30 should be nice,if you have a tall tire out back.i put 275/40's out back and my car lost some bottom end with the auto.i could drop it in 1st gear on the highway doing 70mph and still pull.150mph and the thing still wasn't near redline.i'm sure the 5spd guy's will have different experiance's

I'm running 4.56s on the street with an auto.
Put them in originally to help my 60' times at the strip.
But they are so much better for my big cams, I am leaving them.
