I always figured that's why you see a lot of taller tires on drag cars anyway.

No. Diameter doesn't change it at all. You can get the tire taller, wider, or both. Only taller changes the ratios.

I think I must have misread, I thought he meant running a taller tire than stock. Nevermind.
