I run the 3.7 gear with a R154 trans from factory....
Now I am big single (GT72 turbo) on my 2jz. Even with a .70 A/R hot side, twin scroll and DBB turbo, devided manifold, 4" exhaust
pushing around 500 hp at 14 psi of boost. I get full boost at around 4500 rpm. I got a 7200 rev limiter on the AEM.
It feels lazy.... Quite laggy to say. Though I don't have much of wheel spin.
On full boost: 1st and 2nd gear is OK! 3rd is so so.... , 4th it still 'climbs' but on the slow side, and 5th is useless for accelaration.
Maybe I am used to it and how my car goes/drives with the current setup.
True is that I need to boost more. 14 psi is a joke for the 72mm turbo. I also got a 3.9 rear which I think will be a great match to my
new setup. That way I will pull very strong in 3rd and 4th and quite strong with 5th.
