Anyone here use a 3mm head gasket like this one?
http://cgi.ebay.ca/HKS-3-0MM-METAL-...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item518ff2226c

this would probably decrease the cr right? because the machine shop wont be shaving that much off the block and head.

i am most likely going to stay as close to stock cr as possible so i wont know until after machining is done

what harm would it do.

i am just wondering because it seems to be cheaper then the 2.0mm ones..

The reason the 3mm are cheap, is that fewer people want them.

But.........
If it is like a GReddy 3mm, you can remove the rivits, and take out layers.
The GReddy 3mm uses 3 beaded thin, and 2 thick flat.
By removing one thick flat, it becomes a 2mm.
By removing one thick flat, and one thin beaded, it becomes a 1.5mm.

Been there, got the Tee shirt (and the left over thick piece).

If it's the Cometic 3mm it's 3 layer G.

Don't cheap out on a HG job. Youll pay later. Stick with an HKS stopper.
I'd only use a Stopper in the most extreme of builds, any of the bead type are more than good enough for the majority of builds there's no real reason to drop the extra coin on a Stopper.
