First off my mods:
1jz, 5speed, 3"ypipe back, boost controller (10-15psi)
Was out cruising the other day with a couple of my buds (2 friends in my buddy's rx7 fc and me and another dude in my sup). Was just messin around with my buddy (he's really absolutely no match for me in a straight line) when these two teenage guys in a late90s-early00s 328i come up and pass me on the right. We meet a the next stop light and they seemed like they wanted to go for it. It turned green and they peeled off. I bogged 1st like a bitch and missed 2nd gear all together and they hardly put a car length on me lol...
After that we got a good run in at the next light. at the end of 1st gear I put a car length on them and end of 3rd it was about a bus or two
. We stopped at the next light and the guy said, "Dude, what the hell did you do to that thing?!" To which I replied, "Oh, intake and exhaust." The look on the guys face was priceless
Btw the guy said he was totally stock. I was running stock boost (10psi)
After basking in the glory of my 'win,' out of nowhere this all black ~'00 transam BLASTED by me on the left. If you're heard a built v8 before then thats exactly what it sounded like. Thing totally drowned out the sound of my car. So we met at the next stop light. He said he was running cams, headers and exhaust so I'm guessing 400hp+ (??).
Needless to say, after hearing his beast, i bumped it up to 14psi at the red light. Light turned green and we launched together. To my surprise, up until 3rd gear I was actually running with him. But by end of 4th he put almost a car on me. After a couple other runs he still failed to put more than a car-1.5 car lengths on me. Even though I lost, I still think I did fairly good.
