Plug wires make it even easier to get to the plugs then cop. :naughty: All I need to change me plugs is the spark plug socket. :icon_bigg

youre trying to get rid of the stock ignitor?

is this supposed to stay waste spark with the AEM? or can you switch it to a sequential?

if you run an HKS twinpower, youll have the CDI aspect as well as a multispark setup; at least thats what their propaganda states. i would think that should enhance the output of the wastespark coils, however youd like to run them.

The stock igniter isn't that bad but it's really only compatible with the 7M TCCS. No standalone has the logic to feed the correct signals to the stock igniter. You cannot switch to sequential ignition without changing to six coils, some sort of igniter, and hacking the AEM EMS #10 inj driver over to a coil driver. I'm not sure the benefit of sequential ignition is worth the hassle. Changing to a true three channel igniter is fairly simple (for those with the AEM EMS) however and a likely fix for most.

idk... i guess it COULD be worth the effort, at the outer limits. i mean between maximizing dwell time and primary coil saturation, you could get more spark energy to put off blow out at higher rpm's w/ high boost, methanol injection and C16.

I've not had any problems with 25psi at 7-7500rpms on C16. The problems are all lower in the rpm band. Realize most of the mk4's running the AEM EMS are setup for wasted spark since the AEM EMS has only 5 coil drivers. IIRC not all are available on the output board due to all of the vsv's and whatnot required for the stock sequential TT setup. IE the gains may not necessarily be needed, so I haven't made the effort to convert to full sequential ignition yet.
