Interesting topic, I raced an older early 90's VR-4 and I pulled on him the whole time from a roll in 2nd at 40-45mph to over 100. This was the biggest suprise to me I thought I would get hammered but I won. His car sounded nice with his big ass dual exhaust and you could kind of make out his turbos. Didn't seem that fast to me though, you also have to factor in the driver and balls. I have a friend you puts down more power in his car(supra) than mine but when we race I always pull on him(better reaction).

There are alot of factors, I think alot of vr4 drivers dont know how to launch them, the AWD factor means they can drop from pretty close to redline and just slingshot, meanwhile, I guess alot of vr4 drivers DO know that, but choose not to, due to a pretty weak LSD back there. Like us, it's a damn heavy car.

wow...reading all of these...i must say, my name might be for a supra...but this is my first toyota...Mitsubishi is still my cup of tea...i've owned god knows how many eclipses...1st,2nd, and 3rd gen...and then i still own a 3000gt w/ ungodly amounts of hp...i'll tell you that ALL cars have their problems...3000gts...yes, are very "risky" if you don know how to drive or what to do with it..but i will say for a FACT...3000gt vr-4 is not a slow car. people hate on it simply because of the problems people have wit hthem...but back out of this page and tell me you dont see thousands of supra owners in troubleshooter mode trying to figure out what wrong with their car...c'mon now,...besides, out of all people, us supra owners should know (just like a 3000gt, you gotta have money to own a supra!:)

eh, no. sorry. :) i love late 60's camaros, mid to early 70's chevelles/malibu, older GTO's, 55 bel air's etc.... god i love american muscle cars. my dad's got a '70 chevelle malibu, 350ci, mild cam, holley 750cfm carb, and 1.5' goodyears on the back, mounted on oldschool deep dish cragar SS rims. it's sex on wheels. :) besides, ya gotta love the sound of a powerful v8.

this is, of course, my opinion, and nothing but. (i also own a '71 chevy c-10 stepside)

hey...i'm just tryin to get a point across...i'll say that i DO indeed love ELANORE(one of my dream cars), OLDER camaro's...i'm not a hater for anything...i have respect for anyting that will move....BUT...i prefer imports. when i was 14 years old, i saw my first REAL street race, 1999 Lamborghini Diablo vs. a 1994 Honda Civic...civic appeared to be stock...just lowered, black, some 15 or 16" rims...and muffler...(aka sleeper)...to this point, lambo's were one of my favorite cars...until i saw with my own eyes a lamborghini gets its doors blown off (upward);). but yea, anyways...it made me wonder...so...now, im here. Gotta love it.
