I don't street race because it is unsafe and illegal, but I had this really cool dream the other night!
I was in the left lane and passed an old guy with his wife/gf driving an 80's Porsche 911. Approaching the next intersection, the light turned green and he flew by me pretty quickly. I sped up and caught up with him as I could see there was a red light ahead with no cars around. At the next light I looked over, and he just had a grin on his face, but did not look over at me, and gave no indication that he wanted to race. The light turns green, and the road ahead is clear, and being unsure, I didn't try to do a hard launch, just let the clutch out easy. Then the 911 rips ahead quite quickly and I realize he is flooring it, so I do as well. First gear winds out pretty quickly, and in 2nd, he is still few car lengths ahead of me. It's only when I hit full boost in 2nd that I fly by him and look over to notice a blue Eagle Talon that was also racing the 911 in the 3rd lane over! He sees me as well, and the race continues! I then hit 3rd, and once the boost hit 17psi, they saw nothing but LED tail lights on what must have looked like a mystery car fading into the distance. :biglaugh: If it wasn't for turbo lag and a lazy launch on my 5-speed, it would have been a cakewalk, but I had to go all out. :naughty:
