I gave mishi a call. They are now looking into the problem. My guess is though, many people have switched to e-fans with the rad change, so they may not find much of an issue unless people speak up.

shit twist alot under load that pretty much what props do

when fan is spinning a x speed then you down shift a gear fan blade twist alot form deflextion cause a dent like affect in stead of a wipe like Ian noted

only fix really is e fans there better any way, more room the merry just don't get really crappy ones and wire them in shitty

I already gave them a call. They said there looking into the whole issue and are working on making adjustments to the design. I placed a claim either way to get a replacement. It chipped off a piece of my brand new fan blade so it definitely is fan blade impact. I just finished a rebuild and havent really had the car rev higher than 3000 so it hasnt had much torque applied to it. The motor mounts were also good when the engine was out so i really dont think that has much to do with it.

i have a PWR that had issues with the shroud.3 of the blades basically climbed over and got stuck and wasted a new clutch fan.
only thing i saw was that the new radiator was of course thicker, thereby making the radiator closer to the fan,now im coolin with an elc fan

They are well aware of the issue. Production date for the prototype is in about a week, it got pushed off about a month previously. More than likely I will have the prototype or one of the first available models to play with so when that happens I will test the results so stay tuned. There is 0 point to ordering a replacement, it will only happen again....

I've run my 7m and PWR with stock shroud couple years with no issue. I am using the original who knows how old 10 blade fan and TOYOTA clutch.
The first shroud died with the pull of the fan, the upper inner lip of the shroud getting sucked between the fan and radiator.
Installed a new shroud, slotted the top which removed the inner lip, no issues since.

Engine is installed on the new round mounts as well.

Your right about that. There really is no point in ordering a replacement but at least ill be able to move the car (if i need to) with a replacement while the new design comes out.

That is a nice shroud
Does anyone make a metal shroud for the stock cooling system? Or a metal fan? (Would a metal fan might fix the fan flex problem :dunno:)

Have you heard from Mishimoto about the new design yet?

Unfortunately my contact has no control over who gets to test. I came in contact with the project manager but their 'testing methods' are simply outrageous and unrealistic. I don't think I will be able to test because of what they expect. I guess ill just be waiting in line like the rest of you unfortunately, even though i helped them immensely through this process and saved them large amounts of money on returns/replacements in the future.........
