I got this header for my na. It was designed to work with a 3" cat back so from the cat back it's 3" pipe yet my cat-back is 2.5" so it doesn't fit. Big exhaust leak. I failed to remember this when I purchased the header. What are my options here? is there some sort of metal gasket I can purchase that has a 2.5" opening? Or is my only option to take it to a muffler shop and have a new flange made? The 3" pipe is welded to the cat as well so I can't just remove it.. thanks.

Have the muffler shop make you a test pipe with a 3" flange on one side, and a 2.5" on the other.

Either that or go full 3"
all the backpressure you need is located in the manifold.

The header pipe to cat is 2.5". I think the test pipe idea sounds like what i might have to do. I don't see many other options unless I go 3" exhaust. I'm really trying not to spend too much. Don't have emissions in florida so won't have to worry about the cat.
