2nd gear

so i put a clutch and tranny in and after 1k miles i smashed it and it felt great but ive gone about 2300miles and i raced my friend but at times when i shift to 2nd it seems like my clutch isnt grabbing. Its usually only if i shift really hard and it happened to 3rd gear once. is it because of the clutch or..?

you mean like it's hard to shift into second and sometimes 3rd kinda like you have to force it in gear?

no like it seems like im riding clutch but ive let go all the way. is that the clutch slipping or something else? because i never smashed it or anything babyd the car until about 1k miles

Clutch is slipping. Could be a few things:

- Clutch wasn't properly broken in (glazed).
- Flywheel's backstep wasn't properly machined (or at all).
- Clutch pedal freeplay wasn't set when the clutch was replaced.
- Driver issues (no offense).

oh. probably the flywheel but i guess i didnt plan on having the clutch for long anyway. atleast was hoping for a couple of good runs with it though :/. ohhhh well gues ill get a new clutch after a year or 2 its fine for daily
